About Wholehearted Zen Sangha
Wholehearted Zen Sangha is a small Zen meditation community based in South West London, near Kingston and Richmond upon Thames. We sit together in person and online, with members joining from across the UK and further afield.
We are part of the White Plum lineage, founded by the late Taizan Maezumi Roshi, and connected to Dana Sangha in Paris, founded by Catherine Genno Pagès Roshi.
We offer weekly sitting practice, morning meditation, days of practice and retreats. Our sitting practice is donation based. Longer retreats are priced separately.

About Tania Sensei
Tania Sensei is a teacher of Zen meditation, including Koan practice and Shikantaza.
She first encountered meditation through yoga, and met her teacher Catherine Genno Pagès Roshi in 1998. Since then she has been training with Genno Roshi and the Dana Sangha community, living and studying for a period in and around the Dana Zen Centre in Paris and through many retreats. In July 2021 she received Dharma Transmission from Genno Roshi in Millay, France — formally recognised as a teacher in the White Plum lineage, authorised to accept students and to continue sharing the Dharma.
Her teaching is open, fluid and wholehearted, encompassing compassion practices and Council Circle — a practice that enables authentic sharing. She is an ongoing student and teacher, dedicated to the practice, realisation and transmission of the Dharma in the midst of daily life.
Tania is a lay practitioner — a mother, partner and psychotherapeutic counsellor. Her practice is not separate from any of that. It is integrated into the whole of her life, and this is at the heart of what she offers.
