Welcome to Wholehearted Zen Sangha

A small Zen community, sitting together in the heart of ordinary life. Whatever brings you here — curiosity, a longing to wake up more fully to life — you are welcome.

Come and sit with us

We offer regular Zen meditation throughout the week, with both morning and evening sits.

Tuesday evening
7.30–9.00pm
Online and in person

Two periods of Zazen with walking meditation in between. The evening may include a dharma talk, guided meditation, study group or just sitting. Dokusan — a one to one interview with the teacher — is also available. We close by chanting the four vows.

Morning meditation
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
7.30–8.00am
Online

A silent period of Zazen of 30 minutes, ending with the verse of the Kesa. A quiet way to begin the day, open to anyone wherever they are.

Wholehearted Zen is a small, intimate sangha led by Tania Sensei, a recognised Zen teacher in the White Plum lineage and dharma successor of Catherine Genno Pagès Roshi of Dana Sangha, Paris. We sit together in person and online, with members joining from across the UK and further afield. Whether you are new to meditation or have been sitting for years, you are very welcome. Retreats & days of practice

Alongside our regular sitting practice, we come together for retreats and days of practice. See Schedule.

We are based in South West London. If you are new and would like to come along, please get in touch — we’d love to hear from you. Tania Sensei is happy to have a brief conversation before your first visit. Contact us.
