Wholehearted Zen Sangha is a Zen Meditation Group, based near Kingston Upon Thames. Offering daily and weekly opportunities for practice. We are part of the White Plum Asanga, which was founded by the late Taizan Maezumi Roshi. Meditation is led by Sensei Tania.
Sensei Tania received Dharma Transmission from Catherine Genno Pages Roshi in July 2021 in Millay, France.
This formally recognised Sensei Tania as a teacher in the White Plum lineage of Taizan Maezumi Roshi, and is authorised to accept students and to continue to share the Dharma.
Tania , a lay practitioner, first encountered meditation through the practice of yoga. Then met Genno Roshi in 1998 and has been training with her and Dana Sangha Community ever since.
For some time she lived and studied in and around the Dana Zen Centre in Paris and through many retreats.
Wholehearted Zen Sangha is an appropriate name for a Sangha led by Tania because she is someone who’s path is deep, wide, intimate and true, which means its Wholehearted.
Sensei Tania teaches Koan practice and Shikantaza ( Just sitting).
Her open, fluid and wholehearted teaching includes cultivating compassion and loving kindness and the practice of Council Circle that enables authentic sharing.
She is an ongoing student and teacher dedicated to the practice , realisation and transmission of the Dharma in the midst of daily life. Her path is very much integrated into daily life, a mother, partner and psychotherapeutic counsellor.
She invites you to meet and join on Bodhi Dharmas true path, teaching outside the Sutras, an intimate heart practice.
Tania lives and teaches in the Uk near Kingston Upon Thames .
